River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation ministry approves Rs 209 crore project for Punjab.

The Union Minister for Food Processing Industries , Mrs. Harsimrat kaur Badal has once again succeeded in getting a big bonanza
for State farmers with the Union Government clearing a Rs 209 crore irrigation project in Punjab.
Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the Union Ministry of Water Resources , River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation had accorded
approval to the Ghaggar Branch Canal, Part-1 CAD project under Command Area Development and Water Development and Water Management (CADWM) program.
The union Minister said the Rs 209 crores project would prove to be a game-changer for the farming community of Mansa and Bathinda
districts of Malwa region and give further impetus to the increase in agricultural output in the state.
